ARTIST PROMOTION

It brings us great pleasure to introduce to you a new promotions company, Gospel & City Promotions, a company that prides itself in introducing to the music industry the best and freshest unsigned artistes and bands.

For a while now, it had been observed by us that many promotions companies especially in London and its immediate suburbs have not actively and commercially pushed forward or represented particular genres of music of which Afro music is not left out. The Afro Music situation is pretty peculiar as the genre itself is not lacking in good musicians/bands nor is it a weak sector in the industry.

In fact, some of the best vocalists in the music industry have been direct products of Afro Music roots that have crossed over into other genres as a result of little or no platforms to showcase themselves and exploit their talents commercially.

Many artists and bands also abound in our communities and neighbor-hoods that have been faced with the question of what is next.

They have the experience, the skill, the charisma and most of the time, even the looks and markings of success but not the platform in place to launch a career. Why? Because most Afro Music labels would only sign artists that have been performing from one major gig or event to another and have created a reputation for themselves.

Most promoters and venues also would not dabble into the Afro Music genre for fear of little or no fan turnout or political correctness.

This raises the question of survival and achieving for the totally new to the scene artist or band that has nothing but experience, one or more good songs, a few fans and a sense of self-belief.

How would they connect themselves with the industry? How would they develop a fan base and fan following? How would they generate enough interests that may lead to funding for future projects? In short, how would the right people notice them?

In the words of the Holy Scriptures, “How will they hear, if someone does not go? How will someone go, if he is not sent?”

We, at Gospel & City Promotion, believe that we have been proverbially sent to go on these artists/bands’ behalf and create a platform that allows them to be heard and seen. We believe we would be the doorway that connects Afro Music dreams to industry realities.

Mission

Our Mission is to:

  • Create a platform where Artistes dreams are turned into music industry realities
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with our services and how we deliver it
  • Provide sustainable investment returns for investors and sponsors from all our events and projects
  • Become in the long term the leading resource centre for music industry professional looking in the direction of Afro music and
  • Create a business environment with ethos of fun, hard work and rewards

Keys to Success

One of the keys to the success of this business is being one of the first live promotions company to offer such tailored service to black centric artists.

We are also promoting these artists without any direct endorsements from any geo-political or religious affiliations. In short, regardless of the artist's ethnicity or religious background, we would be glad to work with them and do all we can to push them into public limelight.

We also do not charge artists upfront or receive any hidden fees. We only take a cut out of door prices and as such it lies with the artist to ensure they have enough paying fans if they have intentions to make any money.

We would also showcase the very best of Afro music and we are hopeful that our company would, on the long term, be a resource centre for music industry professionals scouting for new talent and potential signings.
